International Credit Union Day is Thursday, October 21, 2021

International Credit Union (ICU) Day celebrates the spirit of the global credit union movement. ICU Day has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. Each year Credit Unions come together to celebrate and raise awareness for what institutions are doing and what it means for the member-owners to have a credit union as their financial partner.

This year’s theme is “Building financial health for a brighter tomorrow.” Credit unions around the world are contributing to a brighter future by working to improve members’ financial well-being. The essence of this commitment is reflected in each credit union’s bylaws and it’s something credit unions have been doing for more than 100 years. Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union delivers on this commitment with free programs like BALANCE, which provides you with educational tools and resources.

What better way to celebrate ICU Day than by inviting your friends and family to join NGFCU? Don’t let your loved ones miss out on the great financial opportunities of banking with a credit union. At NGFCU we strive to provide the best member service. We put our members first and work with our members to give them the best financial future. With great rates on checking and savings, loans, credit cards, and more why wouldn’t you want to join a credit union?

You can also get your children started in the credit union family by setting up an NGFCU for YOUth account. Build their savings for education expenses and more. It’s a great way to teach them the values of saving for their future. Get their account started today with as little as $5. More info can be found here.

Happy International Credit Union Day!
