NGFCU is currently seeking a highly proficient Accountant II to join our team. We are looking for someone to perform a variety of accounting duties and transactions in support of the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. This position is eligible for Remote or In-Office Work.

Responsibilities and opportunities for you to add value:

  • Maintain fixed asset and prepaid sub-ledgers and records monthly depreciation and amortization expenses in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly financial statistical reports.
  • Prepare and record end-of-month closing journal entries.
  • Reconcile and verify general ledger accounts daily, and prepare accounting entries as needed.
  • Verify and post daily journal entries to general ledger and other tracking systems.
  • Reconcile bank and other statements.
  • Provide backup and support in other accounting roles, and prepares reports for Accounting, Finance and Credit Union Leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required. Minimum of two years of professional accounting experience in a Financial Institution or Credit Union preferred.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Requires strong mathematical, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills & excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of staff.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel with the ability to create, update and maintain complex files.

NGFCU is currently seeking a creative and innovative Business Development/Branch Operations Specialist for our Rolling Meadows location. The Business Development/Branch Operations Specialist will be responsible for the promotion of credit union products and services to members by leading webinars and monthly virtual events, by telephone, in-branch, or while representing the credit union at various community and sponsor events. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing counsel to new and existing members regarding the various credit union services and investment opportunities available, assist members with opening new accounts (Regular Shares, Share Draft, Money Market, Term Accounts, IRAs, etc.) and submitting loan applications. Description

In the role of a Branch Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for staff support and processes related to branch operations. The Branch Lead will assist with departmental training and the maintenance of departmental procedures and compiling information for management review. Additionally, will be assisting in the completion of required periodic audits and negotiable instruments on a timely basis. The position works from our branch located in Linthicum, Maryland.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; College Degree is a plus
  • 3 years branch experience, preferably in a financial institution

  • Strong knowledge of credit union products and services, applicable regulations, and guidelines in a credit union or bank environment

Responsibilities

  • Supports Branch Manager/Business Unit Supervisor in attaining branch goals and objectives.
  • Ensures operational and branch duties are conducted in accordance with policies and legal and regulatory requirements. Verify completeness and accuracy of all outgoing branch work including day end branch reconciliation.
  • Promotes new loan and deposit products and services to achieve branch growth goals. Build and promote a member focused environment by building and maintaining positive member relationships.
  • Assures ATM’s are serviced as needed and balanced to GL’s. Performs scheduled ATM audits as required.
  • Monitors and reports suspected money laundering, structuring, or other suspicious activity in accordance with BSA. Complete CTR’s for required transactions.  Provides CTR's & SAR's to Compliance Officer for review, filing and records retention.

NGFCU is currently seeking a Call Center Representative I in its Gardena, CA office or Palmdale, CA. The Call Center Representative will be responsible for providing phone support to the members calling the call center. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing counsel to new and existing members, in regards to various credit union products and services, and performing assigned teller tasks associated with the processing of member transactions. These transactions may include, member inquiries, processing mail, wire processing and authorized account changes. Call Center representatives may also assist members with opening new accounts and will be responsible for staying current with all applicable policies and procedures.

Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED and have at least one year of experience working in a financial institution while demonstrating success performing Teller functions. Successful candidates will have basic knowledge of Teller functions, new accounts, and member service and loan products.

Collections Supervisor, Remote 

Northrop Grumman Federal Credit union (NGFCU) is seeking a highly experienced Collections Supervisor. Under Manager direction, the supervisor will provide day to day staff support including, but not limited to, non-routine complex processes and requests relative to member satisfaction.

Under Manager direction, the supervisor will provide day to day staff support including, but not limited to, non-routine complex processes and requests relative to member satisfaction. Supervisor will assist in minimizing and mitigating credit union losses by maintaining a low delinquency, reducing write-offs and increasing our recoveries. Assist manager with coordination of collection system and collection servicing programs. Correspond with members relating to collection related agreements. Proven leadership skills with a history of effective management. Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with notable experience handling multiple projects and tasks. Responsible for coordination and maintenance of department procedures, compiling statistical data, and management reporting. Responsible for staying current with all applicable policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in personnel development plans, and maintain personnel policies to assure compliance with credit union policy
  • Prepare and process recommendations for employee goal setting, performance evaluations, and one on one coaching. 
  • Support with screening of new potential hires. 
  • Conduct staff training for new and existing employees. May function as a subject matter expert to support Training department. 
  • Handle escalated member situations and resolve concerns in a timely manner. May perform as an interim manager in the absence of direct manager
  • Assist manager in day-to-day collection operations to include auditing of collection accounts for compliance with credit union policies and procedures
  • Review and analyze collection accounts and recommend corrective action to management
  • Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement
  • May contact and follow-up with members and arrange appropriate action for resolution of accounts not in good standing; including, but not limited to, negative shares, delinquent loans, or suspected fraud
  • Coordinate and monitor workflows ensuring all accounts are worked regularly and properly. Analyze inventory of delinquent loans and assign work accordingly. 
  • Handles advanced and non-routine loan default situations
  • May represent credit union in small claims judicial system
  • Analyze collection related bills and authorize payment
  • Assist with monitoring of outside vendors for compliance with credit union policies and standards. 
  • Maintain and recommend appropriate changes to current collection policies and procedures
  • Function as point of contact for inter-departmental on-line collection system and related issues
  • Attend and participate in management meetings as directed
  • Provide support in various areas as needed
  • Willingness to work extended hours and be on-call for other duties, as needed

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Five years previous supervisory experience within a financial institution, in a collection environment. Proven leadership skills with a history of effective management skills

  • Demonstrates exemplary member service skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks.

As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for collaborating with leadership to identify data analytics opportunities, and to design, develop and deliver reports, dashboards and analytical projects. You will design innovative analytic approaches to test hypotheses, extract actionable insights by identifying patterns in structured and unstructured data, and develop recommendations to drive business performance. You will be instrumental in leading the use of analytics as a critical value driver across our organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or ten (10) years of progressive experience with the implementation, operation, programming and development of data and business intelligence solutions, or an equivalent in a related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
  • Experience in the application of statistical methods, mathematical techniques, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, related analytical tools and programming languages. Extensive experience in problem resolution including determining root cause, scope and scale of issues. Experience working in an Agile development and project management environment.
  • Advanced skill interpreting, extrapolating, interpolating data and SQL skills. Understanding and communicating data presented in models, charts, and tables and transforming it into a format that is useful to the business and aids effective decision making.
  • Knowledge of various data structures and the ability to manipulate data within visualization tools such as Tableau, Oracle BI, or Microsoft Power BI. Data warehousing, data cleaning, and other analytical techniques required for data usage.
  • Effective skill in the use of measurement and statistical practices to analyze current and historical data to make predictions, identify risks, and opportunities enabling better decisions on planned/future events.  Knowledge of the process of sourcing raw data and cleansing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Develop dashboards and KPIs for various departments within the organization.  Develop new and/or modify existing database/data warehouse/data mart and business intelligence solutions to meet business and system requirements.
  • Analyze and summarize business operations, customer and/or economic data in order to improve business intelligence, optimize operating effectiveness and predict business outcomes.

Successful candidates will have knowledge of DMV multi-state guidelines, documentation, and associated regulations.

This position requires qualified candidates to have a minimum of 2 years of previous member service experience in a financial institution, with an emphasis on vehicle titling, consumer, real estate, and loan servicing.

Advanced knowledge of DMV processes, regulations, and policies but not limited to loan processing and auditing of all consumer loan products. Must be detailed oriented, have excellent organization skills, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks.
