NGFCU is currently seeking a highly proficient Accountant II to join our team. We are looking for someone to perform a variety of accounting duties and transactions in support of the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. This position is eligible for Remote or In-Office Work.

Responsibilities and opportunities for you to add value:

  • Maintain fixed asset and prepaid sub-ledgers and records monthly depreciation and amortization expenses in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly financial statistical reports.
  • Prepare and record end-of-month closing journal entries.
  • Reconcile and verify general ledger accounts daily, and prepare accounting entries as needed.
  • Verify and post daily journal entries to general ledger and other tracking systems.
  • Reconcile bank and other statements.
  • Provide backup and support in other accounting roles, and prepares reports for Accounting, Finance and Credit Union Leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required. Minimum of two years of professional accounting experience in a Financial Institution or Credit Union preferred.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Requires strong mathematical, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills & excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of staff.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel with the ability to create, update and maintain complex files.

In the role of the Call Center Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Call Center Manager in attaining Call Center goals and objectives.   • Stay current with all applicable policies and procedures.

Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union (NGFCU) is currently seeking a Call Center Representative I in its Gardena, CA office or Palmdale, CA. The Call Center Representative will be responsible for providing phone support to the members calling the call center. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing counsel to new and existing members, in regards to various credit union products and services, and performing assigned teller tasks associated with the processing of member transactions. These transactions may include, member inquiries, processing mail, wire processing and authorized account changes. Collections Manager Gardena, CA

Northrop Grumman Federal Credit union is seeking a highly experienced Collections Manager to lead a team of Collections representatives with a focus on managing non-routine complex processes and change requests relative to member satisfaction.

Under the direction of the Vice President, the Collections Manager will provide day-to-day staff support including, but not limited to, developing recovery strategies while supporting our members who are experiencing financial hardship. Additionally, this individual will assist the Vice President with the coordination of collections processes, systems and third party relationships. Correspond with members relating to all aspects of the collection process. Some duties may be performed by other staff as determined by management. Responsible for coordination and maintenance of department procedures, compiling statistical data, and management reporting. Responsible for staying current with all applicable policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in personnel development plans and maintain personnel policies to assure compliance with credit union policy
  • Prepare and process recommendation for employee goal setting, evaluations, and screening of potential new hires
  • May perform as an interim manager in the absence of direct manager
  • Communicate loan program and policy changes to department staff
  • Oversee all day-to-day collection department operations
  • Review and analyze portfolio and collection queue system data and department processes to recommend process improvement to management
  • May contact and follow-up with members to determine non-routine or complex arrangements to reach a satisfactory member resolution relating to a loans, negative share accounts and fraud accounts
  • Approves loss mitigation steps for all loans; including, but not limited to, settlement, short sale, and repossession/foreclosure/R.E.O.
  • Review all accounts that are recommended for charge-off to assure all other collection remedies have been pursued and attempted, as appropriate
  • Coordinate and function as primary point of contact for all legal referrals, collection agencies, audit personnel and other third parties
  • Responsible for the disposition of all repossessed/foreclosed/R.E.O./lien sales collateral
  • Coordinate fraud claim bond filing on accounts that have caused a loss to the Credit Union
  • Review all Credit Card reissue exceptions and accounts involved with fraud
  • Prepare and distribute monthly/quarterly reports for assigned metrics relating to the loan and collection portfolios

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business or equivalent field of education.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a financial institution and management experience, in a collections environment.

NGFCU has an exciting opportunity for a strong and effective Network Administrator in our Gardena, California office. This position will be responsible for administration of servers, workstations, network equipment and applications within the Credit Union network to maintain the highest level of performance tuning for the Credit Union’s technology infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Installs network and computer systems
  • Maintains, reporting and upgrading network and computer systems

Responsibilities

  • Must be experienced in maintaining and overseeing all LAN/WAN, Phone Systems, Internet Connectivity and Data Systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in network administration and IT support

Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a strong, experienced, highly proficient Senior Human Resources Generalist to be responsible for the effective development and administration of Human Resources programs, including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, employee engagement efforts, staffing, HR policy and procedure administration, employment law compliance, training and general project management. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position will work in collaboration with the HR department and leadership to deliver value-added service that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

The Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide advice, counsel, and training to managers and supervisors regarding employment practices, performance management, HR policies and employment laws. The position requires a person who has strong analytical and reporting skills to assist with analyzing trends and metrics and generating ad hoc reports.

This position requires an experienced, articulate professional, an independent thinker that can provide strong support, drive processes and lead projects independently. Job Qualifications - Education and Experience

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certifications preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal audits - Develop internal audit scope, perform fieldwork, and prepare internal audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed. Work performed will include coverage of functional and operating units and focus on financial, IT and operational processes.
  • Perform continuous audits on a monthly or quarterly frequency.
  • Follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues.

Qualifications:

NGFCU is currently seeking a Sr. Network Administrator for our Gardena location. The Sr. Network Administrator is responsible for investigating and analyzing feasibility of network requirements, and developing network specifications. The Sr. Network Administrator will also be responsible for identifying and implementing network and system procedures and solutions, and providing project leadership and management in order to provide an exceptional level of service to all Credit Union departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of all network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, servers, workstations, telecommunications, intrusion detection equipment, various IT hardware, operating systems, security and data protection by monitoring network performance, configuration, maintenance and repair.
  • Provide leadership, coaches and trains Information Systems staff to ensure department achieves operational goals.
  • Support and/or lead project teams to clarify project requirements, provide design solutions, in accordance with standards.
  • Researches and resolves all network issues.
  • Performs hardware and virtualized server setup, installation and configuration of the OS, new releases and upgrades.
  • Manages and administrates all operating systems, telecommunications, communications and connection solutions and their corresponding or associated software.

  • Develops strategies for client/server implementations, and architects the infrastructure required to support those strategies.

  • Assists in capacity planning and determining equipment specifications for purchase.

  • Develops and maintains training materials and network documentation, as it relates to network configuration, mapping processes, and service records.
  • Trains department and credit union staff on information technology relative to the Credit Union, as assigned.
  • Performs periodic network assessment and analysis to determine the level of network efficiency, and prepares and delivers reports to management.
  • Provides continual maintenance and updating of software patch levels on all systems.
  • Establishes and maintains good work standards and PC standards, methods of operation, software policies, and user training program.
  • Supports remote locations in all information technology matters, providing on-site support as required.
  • Prepares configuration recommendations based on user and/or departmental requirements.
  • Reviews logs of network devices (such as firewalls, routers, and switches) to determine optimal functionality of Credit Union systems and/or inappropriate use of network resources.
  • Works with information security management to keep the Credit Union in compliance with industry regulations and laws.
  • Works with other departments to gather and prepare documentation for auditors.
  • Liaises with internal departments as needed to ensure proper communications, problem solving and tracking of all information technology issues and processes related to the business.
  • Supports the development and implementation of technology solutions for Credit Union operations.
  • Administers various networks, provides training to users and ongoing business owner support, and creates periodic reports as assigned.
  • Must effectively, positively, collaboratively and professionally communicate and work with vendors and staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Represents the Credit Union and IS Department in meetings related to areas of responsibility, and as assigned.
