In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing leadership at our branch in Roy or Promontory , UT. Under established guidelines and procedures will be responsible for the timely collection of delinquent accounts. Will perform tasks within established department policies and procedures to assure delinquency ratio is within parameters established by credit union Board of Directors. Make recommendations in response to member inquiries and discrepancies. Complete documentation for special payment arrangements and arrears. Contribute to the development or revisions of collection processing procedures. Respond to member inquiries in a timely manner. Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Two years in a financial institution, with an emphasis on vehicle titling, consumer, real estate, and loan servicing
- Advanced knowledge of DMV processes, regulations, and policies but not limited to loan processing and auditing of all consumer loan products
- Must be detailed oriented, have excellent organization skills, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Basic knowledge of practices and procedures within the areas of concentration
- Working knowledge of Collateral Managing Services – DealerTrack, Microsoft Word, the loan origination system, and all lending related systems
Responsibilities
Under limited direction will be responsible for perfecting consumer lending titles and liens including, but not limited to auditing, daily operations support, and problem solving as needed. Performs perfecting title for all vehicle loans, quality control functions and provides recommendation to management based on incomplete funding packet as well as audit findings. Knowledge of DMV multi- state guidelines, documentation, and associated regulations. Comply with established operational standards and service levels, laws, and regulations. Responsible for staying current with all applicable policies and procedures. Perform other clerical duties as assigned.
- Effectively works with Loan Processors in perfecting vehicle titles
- Receives DMV packets from the Loan Processor, review for accuracy, follow-up and complete fee submissions in a timely manner
- Process and prepare appropriate vehicle registration forms to assure NGFCU receives certificate of title and member receives valid registration
- Ensure that all title and registration work is audited according to company policy and procedures
- Review and verify the releasing of all secured titles to appropriate parties
- Accurately records title notes to maintain quality record keeping in DealerTrack
- Resolve titling issues through interaction with DMV, vendors, customers, dealers, and regulatory agencies
- Maintain knowledge of current DMV laws and regulations as they relate to vehicle title and interpret titling regulations in each state for which vehicles are processed
- Participate in various seminars to stay abreast of changing DMV regulations
- Develop and maintain an ongoing and effective relationship with DMV and acts as a liaison to obtain titles, and solve problems timely
- Assist members, employees, and clients by answering questions related to accounts, procedure, and services
- Provide courteous, prompt, and exceptional customer service for all member and/or vendor inquiries
- Monitor and update consumer loans, as necessary, based on assigned reports
- Handle a variety of member inquiries regarding vehicle title and application status
- Prepare auditing report of all DMV titles processed for management review
- Assist in the training of staff to assure compliance with all current DMV regulations
- Perform periodic analysis of ELT system, report discrepancies and make appropriate recommendations to improve process
- Perform clerical functions including, but not limited to, computer input and typing of designated forms
- Responsible for the promotion of credit union products and services
- Perform auditing on funded loans
- Effectively communicate escalation of problems and documentation issues
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all funding packets received
