Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union (NGFCU) is currently seeking a creative and innovative Business Development/Branch Operations Specialist for our Rolling Meadows location. The Business Development/Branch Operations Specialist will be responsible for the promotion of credit union products and services to members by leading webinars and monthly virtual events, by telephone, in-branch, or while representing the credit union at various community and sponsor events. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing counsel to new and existing members regarding the various credit union services and investment opportunities available, assist members with opening new accounts (Regular Shares, Share Draft, Money Market, Term Accounts, IRAs, etc.) and submitting loan applications. The Business Development/Branch Operations Specialist will cultivate new and maintain existing relationships for all facets of the sponsor organizations and their affiliates.

With a committed focus on delivering high quality member service, the candidate must bring a strong work ethic and the ability to develop strong relationships with members and sponsor representatives to further grow branch service and sales levels. The successful candidate must have strong verbal communication skills with a level of comfort speaking to members and coworkers.

This position requires a results oriented and highly self-motivated individual, with the ability to effectively prioritize time and responsibilities. The candidate must have proven customer service and cash handling experience, and analytic capabilities with an attention to detail in processing member transactions and loan applications. The successful candidate will have exemplary organizational skills and possess intermediate MS skills with strong PowerPoint skills.

Our preferred candidate will have prior experience working at a member service level in a credit union environment, with some experience processing consumer loan applications. Must feel comfortable hosting virtual meetings and leading webinars for large groups.

This position requires qualified candidates to have a minimum of 2 years of previous member service experience with a Credit Union or bank, and the ability to resolve routine member inquiries. The candidate requires the ability to travel locally, and non-locally, up to 50% of the time, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation available for use in accomplishing job requirements.

Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union (NGFCU) is currently seeking a Call Center Representative I in its Gardena, CA office or Palmdale, CA. The Call Center Representative will be responsible for providing phone support to the members calling the call center. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing counsel to new and existing members, in regards to various credit union products and services, and performing assigned teller tasks associated with the processing of member transactions. These transactions may include, member inquiries, processing mail, wire processing and authorized account changes. Call Center representatives may also assist members with opening new accounts and will be responsible for staying current with all applicable policies and procedures.

Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED and have at least one year of experience working in a financial institution while demonstrating success performing Teller functions. Successful candidates will have basic knowledge of Teller functions, new accounts, and member service and loan products.

Collections Supervisor, Remote 

Northrop Grumman Federal Credit union (NGFCU) is seeking a highly experienced Collections Supervisor. Under Manager direction, the supervisor will provide day to day staff support including, but not limited to, non-routine complex processes and requests relative to member satisfaction.

Supervisor will assist in minimizing and mitigating credit union losses by maintaining a low delinquency, reducing write-offs and increasing our recoveries. Assist manager with coordination of collection system and collection servicing programs. Correspond with members relating to collection related agreements. Proven leadership skills with a history of effective management. Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with notable experience handling multiple projects and tasks. Responsible for coordination and maintenance of department procedures, compiling statistical data, and management reporting. Responsible for staying current with all applicable policies and procedures.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in personnel development plans, and maintain personnel policies to assure compliance with credit union policy
  • Prepare and process recommendations for employee goal setting, performance evaluations, and one on one coaching. 
  • Support with screening of new potential hires. 
  • Conduct staff training for new and existing employees. May function as a subject matter expert to support Training department. 
  • Handle escalated member situations and resolve concerns in a timely manner. May perform as an interim manager in the absence of direct manager
  • Assist manager in day-to-day collection operations to include auditing of collection accounts for compliance with credit union policies and procedures
  • Review and analyze collection accounts and recommend corrective action to management
  • Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement
  • May contact and follow-up with members and arrange appropriate action for resolution of accounts not in good standing; including, but not limited to, negative shares, delinquent loans, or suspected fraud
  • Coordinate and monitor workflows ensuring all accounts are worked regularly and properly. Analyze inventory of delinquent loans and assign work accordingly. 
  • Handles advanced and non-routine loan default situations
  • May represent credit union in small claims judicial system
  • Analyze collection related bills and authorize payment
  • Assist with monitoring of outside vendors for compliance with credit union policies and standards. 
  • Maintain and recommend appropriate changes to current collection policies and procedures
  • Function as point of contact for inter-departmental on-line collection system and related issues
  • Attend and participate in management meetings as directed
  • Provide support in various areas as needed
  • Willingness to work extended hours and be on-call for other duties, as needed

Qualifications 

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Five years previous supervisory experience within a financial institution, in a collection environment. Proven leadership skills with a history of effective management skills
  • Expert analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates exemplary member service skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks. 
  • Expert knowledge of collection operations, including, but not limited to, member resolution, account documentation, repossession and foreclosure
  • Advanced knowledge of Fair Debt Collection, applicable laws and regulations, and credit union policies and procedures
  • Expert with Microsoft Windows and Spectrum
  • Highly effective communication skills and team oriented interpersonal skills

Position Description

Under direction will provide day-to-day staff support and supervision for Dental Service Center operations including, but not limited to, planning and organizing the flow of work and assigning work to the Dental Service Center staff. Manages Dental Service Center accounting and insurance operating systems. Responsible for employee training relating to current dental and vision programs and call center policies and procedures. Performs a variety of accounting duties of intermediate complexity in compliance with existing procedures, methods and systems and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Receives, sorts, and proofs Dental Service Center documents, posts appropriate entries to ledger accounts (QuickBooks) & Terrace Operating System, prepares reports, financial statements, and reconciliations; and performs other accounting and clerical duties as assigned. Responsible for coordination and maintenance of department procedures, compiling statistical data, and monthly dental and vision activity reports and financial reports. Interfaces with 3rd party providers. Responsible for staying current with all applicable policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

Associates degree or equivalent education. Minimum three years of previous supervisory experience, preferably with a credit union and/or financial Institution experience, or experience within the insurance industry. Strong written, oral communications, analytical, and organizational skills. Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency with the ability to create custom reports, using formulas and conditional formatting, drafting and distributing correspondence using Mail Merge, etc.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supervises Dental Service Center staff.
  • Performs various accounting transactions in support of the day-to-day operations of the Dental Service Center.
  • Maintains monthly financial statistical reports.
  • Reconciles bank and other statements
  • Supports management in attaining organizational financial and service goals and objectives.
  • Acts as liaison between the Dental Service Center, the insurance broker and 3rd party Insurance providers.
  • Prepares monthly Flight Plan Financial Services Financials, including Statement of Income and Expense, Profit and Loss Budget Performance and Balance Sheet.
  • Provides employee development through coaching and the performance management process to establish goals and evaluate performance and conduct.
  • Assumes the role of Hiring Manager for the recruitment, selection and onboarding of new staff.
  • Handles distribution of department work including mail, benefit enrollments, and other work assignments as needed.
  • Monitors the call center phone queue and performance, answers calls and attends to departmental workload as needed to support the department during peak times.
  • Provides support and direction to staff in the completion of assigned duties.
  • Provides benefit program information to clients and handles escalated client calls.
  • Processes all premium payment deposits to the bank, processes premium refund checks, and audits quarterly premium ACH.
  • Opens, processes and audits new benefit enrollment applications and posts payments to the dental system.
  • Reviews, reconciles, audits, processes and pays monthly insurance carrier reports and billings.
  • Coordinates annual benefit enrollment processes including the preparation of annual open enrollment marketing materials, inputting rates into the system, production of renewal billing notices, and coordination of the distribution of materials to and from the mailing house.

NGFCU is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to help us in our overall marketing efforts. Under the oversight of the Marketing Director, the specialist will be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to product promotion. The Marketing Specialist should be a competent professional able to grasp consumer behavior trends and generate creative ideas. The specialist should also be well-versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles and tactics. This position is eligible for Remote or In-Office Work.

Responsibilities and opportunities for you to add value:

  • Liaise with product and sales teams, and vendors (e.g. ad agency, MCIF vendor, and website vendor), to help with creative marketing ideas and develop marketing deliverables.
  • Contacts agencies, printers, mailing services and other service providers to obtain bids on marketing pieces. Coordinates production and distribution of deliverables with outside vendors. Serves as liaison with marketing agency.
  • Provide marketing support to sales teams
  • Help track marketing programs such as email, mail, digital campaigns, events, and other channels
  • Ensure that marketing materials meet brand and regulatory guidelines
  • Ensure that all external communication is vetted and approved by product teams and Compliance
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums
  • Proofs graphics, design and layout.
  • Helps maintain and develop communication in member experience platform
  • Assist with managing all internal marketing channels (statement messages and inserts, branch merchandising, digital lobby and ATM screens, website, email and direct mail, and onsite events) including overseeing design and production of various marketing materials such as print, digital, and in-branch.

  • Provide support for non-promotional communication efforts as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field and 2-3 years of experience in marketing
  • Proven experience as marketing specialist or similar role.
  • Previous marketing experience with a Credit Union or other Financial Institution highly preferred
  • Understanding of marketing practices (including traditional and digital marketing such as email, SEM, website content management, and social media) and market research methods
  • Experienced in providing marketing support to sales teams
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom. Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite desired.

  • Responsible for the promotion of credit union products and services

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the promotion of credit union products and services
  • Assist with daily member inquiries, including, but not limited to, savings rates, loan rates, Mastercard accounts, and account inquiries
  • Assists members with all credit union products and services including, but not limited to, share accounts, loan products, term accounts, and IRAs
  • Answer basic and non-routine member inquiries regarding credit union policies and procedures
  • Resolves both basic and non-routine member inquiries related to transaction errors
  • Process loan requests in a timely manner which meets the organization's objectives
  • Provides phone support to the members calling the Call Center
  • May review and verify the releasing of all regional secured titles to appropriate parties
  • Interface with loan officer on behalf of members
  • Follow-up and advise members of loan decisions
  • Provide basic and routine real estate information
  • Insure the completeness and accuracy of all documents received
  • Perform clerical functions including data input and typing of designated forms
  • Review and process incoming mail
  • Supports management in attaining organizational goals and objectives
  • Retrieve voice messages from credit union telephone system and distribute as appropriate
  • Perform end-of-day branch reconciliation of accounting center, prepare checks received for back office processing, checks disbursed and check signer daily
  • Maintain and balance teller drawer daily in accordance with all credit union policies and procedures
  • Participate on an ATM balancing team
  • May perform as Teller I, Teller II as needed

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Two years' experience within a financial institution with demonstrated success in a sales environment
  • Expert knowledge of Teller and MSR functions (new accounts, member service and loan products)
  • Assist members with credit union products and services in accordance with all credit union policies and procedures
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and expert knowledge of the credit union's core system

NGFCU is currently seeking a Member Service Representative (MSR) who will be responsible for supporting our NGFCU branch located in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The MSR will be responsible for the promotion of credit union products and services to members either through the phone or in person. The successful candidate will provide counsel to new and existing members in regards to the various credit union services and investment opportunities available, with an emphasis on current promotions. The MSR will perform assigned teller tasks associated with the processing of member transactions as required. These transactions include, but are not limited to, member inquires, processing mail, authorized account changes, counter member transactions, and processing loan applications. Candidates must be able to balance a cash drawer within established guidelines and maintain an organized work environment and accurate records of all transactions.

With a committed focus on delivering high quality member service, the MSR must bring a strong work ethic and the ability to develop strong relationships with members and sponsor representatives to further grow branch service and sales levels.

This requires a results oriented and motivated individual. The successful candidate must have strong verbal communication skills with a level of comfort speaking to members and coworkers. The candidate must have proven customer service and cash handling experience, and analytic capabilities with an attention to detail in processing member transactions and loan applications.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with prior experience within the financial services industry. Our preferred candidate will have prior experience working at a member service level in a credit union environment, with some experience processing consumer loan applications.

This position requires qualified candidates to have a minimum of 2 years of previous member service experience, preferably with a CU/bank, and the ability to resolve routine member inquiries. The successful candidate will have exemplary organizational skills and possess intermediate level computer skills.

Qualified candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED.

The Mortgage Loan Support Representative position is responsible for supporting the origination staff by performing a variety of duties, including validating and requesting loan documentation from members and or third parties in order to ensure timely closing and accuracy in each loan transaction. This position works hand in hand with the Members, Loan Officers and Loan Processors. This position requires an individual that is motivated, well organized, smart and is looking to learn and advance in the Mortgage industry. They should have strength in multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to MLO’s (Mortgage Loan Originator) with daily member mortgage inquiries.
  • Provide telephone support.
  • Request and obtain initial documentation from members via email and phone.
  • Review loan files for complete and accurate initial documentation
  • Verify member’s information and member number.
  • Review loan applications for missing information and update as needed.
  • Label and upload documentation into our LOS system.
  • Pull member credit reports.
  • Take applications by phone.
  • Pull Property Profiles.
  • Work alongside MLO/Processor/UW/Closer to help team close loans.
  • Work with MLO to manage an assigned pipeline to meet closing expectations.
  • Retrieve all documents and assign accordingly, then verifying and completing all fields.
  • Perform any additional duties/activities assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One- two years’ experience within a financial institution, preferably in a lending environment. Some course work in real estate lending maybe substituted for experience.

Position Description

The Senior Systems Administrator supports all Information Systems in use at the Credit Union. The role encompasses Information Systems new and upgrade planning, installation, maintenance, system security, including hardware and software upgrades. The role provides backup support to department management and provides guidance and support to other IT professionals in the department in an effort to coordinate all Information Systems operations at the Credit Union. The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for identifying and implementing system procedures and solutions, providing project leadership and management support in order to provide an exceptional level of service to all Credit Union departments.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in Information Systems administration and support required.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the field of Information Systems administration.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise presentations, reports and project management documentation are required. Highly motivated individual with exceptional prioritization, organizational, time management.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem‐solving, full cycle project management, and multi‐tasking skills are required. Ability to plan, write and organize organizational policies and procedures, perform complex analysis and produce professional and technical documentation with recommendations.
  • Ability to perform duties independently in the absence of a supervisor with sound judgment to know when to engage management in escalated circumstances that may fall outside of the scope of the position’s authority, knowledge and experience.
  • Preferred knowledge in credit union compliance regulations, laws and standard policies.
  • Working knowledge and intermediate level of competency in using Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) required. This includes creating, modifying and formatting documents, spreadsheets and presentations conforming to standard business formatting and etiquette.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supports and monitors departmental workflow and service delivery to credit union team members to ensure the highest quality of service is achieved for our members.
  • Provides guidance, training and coaching to IS/IT team members to ensure department achieves operational goals. Supports team members with escalated issues to ensure that service and processing standards are met.
  • Oversee the day‐to‐day operations of all Information Systems infrastructure including various information technology software and hardware including researching and resolving all Information System issues. Works with Credit Union management, departments, staff and vendors to support Information System initiatives.
  • Recommend and assist to develop policies, and procedures for Information Systems disaster recovery.
  • Plans, implements and manages application upgrades, maintenance fixes, and patches.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Information Technology team members to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of organizational servers to meet business demands.
  • Must effectively collaborate in a positive professional manner to communicate and work with vendors and staff at all levels of the organizations. Liaises with all third-party software/hardware vendors to ensure maximum efficiency of effort. Liaises with internal departments as needed to ensure proper communications, problem solving and tracking of all Information Systems issues and processes related to the business. Supports the development and implementation of Information Systems solutions for Credit Union operations.
  • Adapts to flexible work hours to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects. Weekend work may be required. Will be required to be on call and carry a cell phone to provide 24 hours a day 7 days week technical support coverage. Performs other duties as assigned.
