In Memory of James (Jim) Barnfather

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and retired colleague, Jim Barnfather.

Jim dedicated more than 40 years of faithful service to the credit union, leaving an unforgettable mark on our organization and the many lives he touched along the way. Throughout his remarkable career, he served with distinction as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, leading his teams with vision, integrity, and compassion. He also managed Flight Plan Dental & Vision Insurance Services with unwavering commitment and professionalism. As Jim liked to say, “It’s not really a job, it’s a daily destination.”

Beyond his many professional accomplishments, Jim will be remembered most for his warm spirit, generous heart, sense of humor, and genuine care for others. He built lasting relationships with credit union coworkers, members, and Northrop Grumman leaders and team members, becoming a trusted friend, colleague, and mentor to so many throughout the years.

Jim’s legacy will continue to live on through the countless people he inspired both personally and professionally. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, his church family, and the many coworkers and friends who were lucky to know him.

During this difficult time, we extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Jim’s family and loved ones. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as an important part of our credit union family.
